The South Central Hackney Association is a regional association made up of Hackney enthusiasts. The primary objective of this association is to promote the Hackney breed.
The South Central Hackney Association offers a high point awards program in multiple show divisions at member shows, mainly in Kentucky and Ohio. There is also a futurity program for weanlings through 3-year-olds and a junior road pony championship for ponies 4 years of age and under. The futurity and junior road pony championship are associated with the Kentucky Breeders Incentive Program for ponies foaled in Kentucky. The South Central Hackney Association is the only hackney program in Kentucky eligible for the KBIF Program. Of course, hackney ponies from all states are welcome in the futurity.
